Only recognised centres provide the certification face-to-face, via lectures, tutorials, seminars, distance learning, and online.
The center internally assesses and OTHM externally verifies all units within this certification. The credentials are criterion-referenced and are based on achieving all of the prescribed learning goals.
To receive a 'pass' for a unit, students must produce proof that they have met all of the learning goals and the standards stipulated by the assessment criteria. The Assessor determines if the learners have successfully met the assessment requirements.
The Assessor should offer an audit trail that demonstrates how the overall achievement of the learners was determined.
Progression:
Level 6 Occupational Health and Safety certifications offer learners with the information, understanding, and abilities needed to be competent in a variety of Occupational Health and Safety positions. Individuals who complete the diploma qualification will be entitled to apply for Grad IOSH membership.
Those who are qualified for Graduate membership can then begin a term of Initial Professional Development, during which they must give proof of their practise abilities in a skills development portfolio (IPD). There will be a professional evaluation interview at the conclusion of this session. Students who successfully complete this IPD procedure will be eligible for Chartered membership in the IOSH (CMIOSH).
